Vases from Karin's new 'grass' collection.
The materials I work with are porcelain, stoneware and terracotta earthenware. The goods is bisque fired to 1000°C. For the porcelain and stoneware I use a dolomite matte glaze, fired to 1270°C. The earthenware is used in my "hangings" and usually are glazed in bright glossy glazes and fired to 1050°C.
Enamel transfers are used for decoration. These are either sourced or my own design. After the transfers have been applied, the goods is fired a third time to 800°C.
